Running Camps

Have you ever wanted to do a Warm Weather Training Running Camp but felt too intimidated or felt you were not fast enough? Are you a seasoned runner that wants to take their performance to a new level? Well here is the answer! In January, February and March of 2017, Performance Edge will hold their "Miles Away" warm weather running camps in Loja, Spain and will feature double Olympian marathon runner and Performance Edge Coach Jess Draskau-Petersson.  Loja is situated to the east of Seville with Malaga and Granada airports only an hour away and when there you will be surrounded by the wonderful Sierra Nevada and Tejeda, and Almijara y Alhama mountains.

The emphasis on the Camp is that attendees will get the training that THEY need and receive advice on aspects THEY need to work on.

So whether you run 30 miles a week or 140 miles then we are here to support you, to give you the environment and opportunity to train and recover and therefore get the greater adaptation. Every athlete may be doing something different on the track, or in a different run group depending on athlete ability levels. We cater to all abilities, from new runners just beginning their run journey to the experienced Elites. Each athlete will do a variation of the same session, just modified to suit their ability.

With the potential to recover rather than have to go off to work we usually do a late morning and a mid / late afternoon session, but we may treat you to one of our Kenyan triple run days! All of our athletes will receive advice on run technique, training schedules, season planning, nutrition, strength and conditioning as appropriate to an athletes needs. The aim of the week is not to see how much training can be complete, but to complete an appropriate level of training, to provide athletes with useful and practical advice, and to recover between sessions such that we see the adaptation we are all after.

Camp duration can be modified to your needs, you can drop in for a long weekend, stay for a week or two and maybe even three so you incorporate two weeks on camp with a week inbetween.
