TRAIL Running weekends

PERFORMANCE EDGE TRAIL RUNNING WEEKEND
LOCATION: ABERFELDY, HIGHLAND PERTHSHIRE

Join Neil and Beth for a weekend of Trail Running and Yoga in Highland Perthshire. For this spectacular trail running weekend you will be based in the beautiful Fernbank Guest House, in Aberfeldy where we are able to hit the trails straight from your front door. This running weekend will combine epic trail running with the Performance Edge Coaching Team, Restorative Yoga, Group Evening Meals and all in the company of like-minded people.

Itinerary
Friday
·     Check in from 3pm.

·     Short 4 mile  trail run before dinner.

·     Dinner.
Saturday
·     Wake Up Yoga

·     Breakfast.

·     Discussion – Basic Hill Navigation

Run - Approx. 15 mile trail run along the River Tay, up past Performance Edge HQ over Weem hill to Loch Farleyer and down through Strathtay and back to Aberfeldy

·     Late afternoon - Time to explore Aberfeldy or relax at the Guest House.

·     Discussion The Six Key points to any Training Plan

·     Dinner.

Sunday

·     Wake Up Yoga

·     Breakfast.

·     Approx. 12 mile trail run exploring the wonders of Drummond Hill.

·     Late lunch and celebratory drink in a local hostelry.

·     Au Revoir. Transport to departure points.

All runs are guided by Coach Neil. 

 We will run at a pace that allows the group to stay together and walk the hills if we have to. We will stop at points for photo opportunities and to allow the group to re-combine as required. This is not a race

If you are a faster runner, then you will run slower than you would normally – just enjoy it. Previous trail running experience is not necessary. The terrain will be both flat along the beautiful banks of the River Tay, and hilly up and over the low hills round Aberfeldy The views will be incredible (weather permitting!). You should be able to cover the distances at a pace of at around 11 min/miles to enjoy this event (equivalent of a 4:30 – 5:00 marathon).

Included
Bed and Breakfast Accommodation. Singles, Doubles, Twins all available. All ensuite. 
Yoga with a fully qualified Yoga Instructor.
Guided trail runs with Coach Neil.
Coaching advice and guidance throughout the weekend.

Not Included
Additional meals, drinks and snacks.
Transport. We can assist with transport from Edinburgh Airport or Pitlochry Train Station. Get yourselves there are we will arrange individually with you to get you to Aberfeldy– or you can drive.
